Guardian Ad Litem

On August 10th JCP “CARES” teamed up with Belks Department Store for a back to school fashion show.  The proceeds of the fashion show were donated to the St. Johns County Guardian Ad Litem and will be used to help the children in the program purchase clothes for school.  In addition to the fashion show local residents of Julington Creek Plantation held a school supply drive to make sure these kids got off to a great start.  JCP “CARES” owes a huge thank you to the following companies for their generosity:

Sessions Modeling Studio, Karate America, Bikes, Kites & More, Fringe Salon, Elite Spa & Nails, Peterbrooke Chocolatier, Hurricane Games, Blockbuster, Play it Again Sports, Envy Salon, Beau Monde, Castle Nails, Bartram Trail Rotary Club and Casa Monica Hotel

First Coast News was there to cover the event.  Check out their story here            FIRST COAST NEWS FASHION SHOW

The Guardian Ad Litem program is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to be an advocate for children when appointed by the judicial system.  Most of these children have been removed from their homes because of alleged abuse, abandonment or neglect.  To learn more about their organization please see www.guardianadlitem.org.
